Transfer Lab

The Transfer Lab is an initiative at global dis:connect that aims to transfer and disseminate research. It is our contact point for fellows and researchers, whom we support in their efforts to propagate the fruits of their work.

Projects:

  • Open Door Policy: Our doors are always open to researchers, students, and the public.
  • Orientation in Munich: Need help navigating the city? We’re here to assist.
  • Networking: Connect with partners and build your network within the vibrant Munich cultural scene.
  • Media Outreach: Stay informed through our YouTube channel and social media platforms.

Key Project: Global Munich

Discover and discuss the processes of globalization happening right in your backyard. Global Munich is a local experiment that invites you to explore the interconnectedness of our world.

The Transfer Lab rests on three pillars:

  • Developing knowledge about transfer formats and cooperating with partners beyond the university
  • Supporting staff and fellows to communicate and disseminate their work
  • Reflecting on transfer theoretically and methodologically.

The Transfer Lab disseminates our scholarly research to the general public, not only to the academic community. We work closely with partners outside the university to develop and implement innovative pilot projects. Our vision is to see the results of our research in active use throughout society. We want to strengthen the link between scholarship and society to ensure that our research is understood and used beyond academia.
